The Challenge

George Washington Academy operates across two distinct academic worlds under one roof. While Grades 11 and 12 follow the IB Diploma Programme, the rest of the school runs on an American Common Core curriculum, creating a complex environment to manage from a single platform. Layered on top of that, George Washington Academy serves students from over 36 nationalities, with families who expect clear, timely communication and a professional standard of reporting.

When George Washington Academy transitioned from PowerSchool to ManageBac+, the priority was finding a way to make the platform work across this full range of programmes and year levels, customising features like Report Cards to reflect the school's own grading structures, and ensuring parents stayed well-informed throughout the school year. On the admissions side, the school also needed a process fast enough to compete in Casablanca's active international school market.

The Solution

Results

The way information is shared with parents has improved significantly over the past few years.and Dr. Keppler attributes this in part to the support and guidance received from the ManageBac+ team. Parents regularly access updates through the mobile version of the platform, and the accessibility of that interface has led to noticeably faster responses from families.
