We’re wrapping up 2022 with a summary of our latest updates across the ManageBac iOS and Android apps – each one enhancing your experience on the go.
Multimedia Editor
Deployed across web and both ManageBac mobile apps, our new Multimedia Editor allows you to communicate even more clearly and creatively – using audio, video, colours, emojis, drawing & photo editing tools, and more. Plus, our mobile app comes equipped with a handy document scanner – allowing you to scan, upload and annotate physical documents on the move.
1-1 Direct Messaging
Facilitate smooth and secure communication between students, teachers and parents via our new 1-1 Direct Messaging tool, now available on our iOS mobile app, and coming to the Android app in January 2022. With in-built safeguarding and advanced permissions options, you can customise usage to suit your school. Learn more in our Help Centre.
Mobile-Optimised Pages
We have refreshed a range of key iOS app pages to improve the user experience – making it easier than ever to add and edit Events, Deadlines, Tasks, Internal Assessments and Online Lessons. Benefit from a cleaner, clearer layout, and more intuitive navigation.
Global Search
Our powerful Global Search allows you to quickly find Classes, Tasks, Deadlines, Online Lessons and Groups. This page has now been optimised to improve navigation and performance throughout the ManageBac iOS app. Plus, a new ‘Recently Visited’ section provides easy access to all your latest pages.
Quick Add for Students
Mobile ‘Quick Add’ for students provides one-click access to all the most important ManageBac pages in our iOS app – allowing students to jump straight to an Online Lesson, quickly add Portfolio Resources, Goals and Reflections, or submit coursework.
Student Timetables
Keep track of upcoming appointments with new mobile-friendly Student Timetables – available soon for students and parents through the ManageBac iOS app. The ‘Day View’ will display students’ Classes for each day, while the ‘Week View’ will show a whole week of Classes at-a-glance – available on iPads only. Clicking on each individual Class will provide a brief overview of key details, including the teachers, time and location.
More Improvements
- An Annotation Status tag has now been added to all Tasks, providing a quick overview of the status of all your students’ coursework submissions.
- The Opening Date for students’ coursework submissions is now displayed directly in Task view, ensuring clarity of expectations.
- Teachers and students are now able to view Task-Specific Grade Scales from directly within Tasks – just click ‘Assessment’ > ‘Points’ to open.
- When adding a new Event to your Calendar, you can now create a Zoom Meeting at the same time – helping you to manage your schedule on the go.
