ManageBac User Group Conference Berlin: Recap

 

On March 24-25, we hosted our third annual user group conference in Europe at Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS). We were thrilled to welcome more than 140 participants from 80 schools representing 35 countries.

 

The first conference day began with keynote presentations by Secondary Principal Michaela Jung on Technology & Learning, and an overview of ManageBac at BBIS from IT Advisor Golnoush Ronasi. A company update from ManageBac and partner update from Pamoja followed.

 

Participants then went into programme-specific breakout sessions, including:

After lunch, participants started Session 2, which included:
The day concluded with Session 3, which continued to focus on curriculum planning:
Participants ended the day with traditional German food & drink at Hotel Lindenbräu.

 

The second day of the conference began with a keynote on Innovation in Education by Peter Murphy, Director at Vienna International School, which challenged participants to consider how organisational structures support innovation.

 

The morning breakout sessions focused on assessment and included:
Session 5 commenced after a coffee break. Sessions focused on reporting and looking forward to the future.
After lunch, Session 6 options included:
The final sessions focused on Q&A wrap-up, and a mindfulness exercise.
