Insights from the Host School

One of the highlights of the day was the Host School Case Study Presentation. Dipika Ingale and Reema Gonsalves from Oberoi International School shared their school’s journey with ManageBac, offering practical insights, challenges faced, and the best practices they implemented to maximise the platform’s potential. The interactive discussion that followed allowed attendees to delve deeper into these experiences, sparking ideas for their own schools.

Hosting another ManageBac event after seven years, especially with the first-ever ManageBac Hub, is both exciting and fulfilling. It was a great opportunity for us to see how much the application has changed and how the new ideas and improvements can be used. Connecting with a wider community made us think about how MB can be used more effectively.

Educators and administrators from different regions had the chance to share experiences, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions, fostering a sense of community. Insightful sessions from experts offered a valuable perspective on how ManageBac can support their requirements. The upcoming features and enhancements in ManageBac gave us an idea of how these updates could benefit our school.

Breakout Sessions: Tailored Learning Opportunities

The event continued with breakout sessions catering to the diverse needs of attendees:

  • Portfolios for IB Coordinators: Led by Rebecca Kwiatoski, this session explored how ManageBac’s portfolio features can be effectively utilised to support IB coordinators in managing student work, assessments, and reflections.
  • Faria AI Principles & Usage: Targeted at EdTech coaches, this session led by Sidney Sutton and Daryl Orts provided an in-depth look at the integration of AI in ManageBac. The discussion included the platform’s AI-driven Writing Assistant and the future potential of ManageBac in enhancing the teaching and learning experience.

It feels great to have a ManageBac event after 7 years! The first event was a longer one and was much needed at the time as we were still a school who had just implemented ManageBac. Hosting the ManageBac Hub was a refreshing experience – it was like a mini PD for us and an amazing opportunity to meet the team.

The highlights were all the interesting product updates that will soon change the experience for us as end users. It got us thinking about how we can use these new features to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Some staff members who never interacted with the ManageBac Team before could do so and they were happy about having discussions with them.
